Uzbekistan President Visits China to Discuss New Chapter of Agricultural Cooperation with Valmet Machinery

On June 2, 2026, during his state visit to China, Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had in-depth exchanges with representatives of the Chinese Enterprises Chamber of Commerce at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. Mr. Zhu Linjun, General Manager of Wode Agricultural Machinery, attended the conference as a representative of agricultural machinery enterprises. During the meeting, both sides had productive discussions on agricultural cooperation, especially the cotton picking machine project, and jointly drew a new blueprint for the development of China Ukraine agricultural cooperation.

Uzbekistan, as a major cotton producing country in the world, has a stable annual output of over 3 million tons. However, the mechanization rate of the cotton industry has been less than 30% for a long time, and there is an urgent demand for mechanized cotton harvesting. 01 Establish localized production lines to reduce costs and improve efficiency

Wode Agricultural Machinery has invested in building a factory in the Kashkadalia Free Trade Zone, covering an area of 10 hectares with a first phase construction area of 20000 square meters. The total investment will exceed 60 million US dollars; Covering the production of agricultural machinery such as cotton harvesters and tractors. The factory construction has been completed and equipment installation is underway. It is expected to be put into production in December this year.



02 Training technical service personnel to provide full cycle services

Wode Agricultural Machinery has invested in establishing 4S stores for agricultural machinery in 13 provinces across Uzbekistan, providing customers with comprehensive after-sales service. Wode Agricultural Machinery will provide machine operation training for local farmers, enabling them to correctly master machine usage and maintenance techniques, improve work efficiency, and reduce product failures. Reserve spare parts, after-sales service personnel, and service vehicles in various states to promptly troubleshoot product failures for farmers, ensuring that they can enjoy high-quality after-sales service after purchasing Wode products, especially for cotton picking machines. 03 Introduction of planting mode to improve cotton yield per unit area

Wode Agricultural Machinery has already planted cotton in Kashgar, Syr Darya, and Navay provinces this year, and plans to lease 30000 hectares of land in Uzbekistan in the future. Following China's high standard farmland construction, advanced Chinese cotton planting models will be introduced to increase local cotton yields and promote farmers' increased production and income.


This meeting is a vivid practice of cooperation in the agricultural field under the initiative of jointly building the "the Belt and Road" between China and Uzbekistan. By 2025, the order volume of Wode Agricultural Machinery's cotton picking machines in Uzbekistan has exceeded 500 units, helping Uzbekistan's cotton industry achieve transformation and upgrading, enhance its competitiveness in the international market, and create a benchmark for modern agriculture in Central Asia.
